Just a quick message to let y'all know I'm on board. Have thoroughly enjoyed the advice and lessons presented here. I appreciate the community, because I've a "lone quilter" for so long.

Look for me on the threads.

Hello Judy,
Is it cold enough down there for you? I'm up in northern California and we're cold but we don't have anything falling from the sky...at least not too close to us.

Welcome to the site. We have a lot of fun here and learn all sorts of wonderful information. Stuff we need to know, stuff we didn't know we needed to know.

Quilting alone is fun but it's more fun here with friends!

Keep warm down there!

Hi Judy Lee, Welcome from PA. This is a great forum to share ideas, get answers to your questions and just have fun. I quilted alone for many years but now my daughter and granddaughter are quilting with me.

Hey, ladies, you sure make me feel welcome, and right at home.

Just knowing you're here will help me complete a UFO. My workroom is detached from the house in a little outbuilding, no heat, no water, and yes it is cold right now. (Forty degrees in the workroom a few mornings ago.)

The UFO is a log cabin, partly finished and difficult to get back to. It has taken over my workroom, so it must be finished soon or none of my other projects will get off the ground. I make my quilts in sections, quilt them by machine, then sew the quiltlets together. There is an ambitious border planned, and when I get to it, will need some help. I've never put a border on any of my quilts--just bind it when it's finished. More later, and thanks for saying hi.

Hi Judy, Our quilt guild just finished a log cabin quilt. Log cabin is one of my favorites. I'm sure you'll get lots of help here when you are ready to put your border on.
