I used circles cut from chenille and flannel squares for the inside of the 'window'. I had leftover batting high loft from years ago and had just enough for the quilt. The pattern and directions are from this site http://www.equilters.com/library/jeans/jeans_gallbaros.html. The hardest part was cutting circles from the chenille. This is a self quilting project. I finished at 4:30 on Christmas eve to give to my mother-in-law. Her cancer has come back and I wanted something cozy for her to use. I used an icecream pail lid for my circle pattern.

I think that the table runner turned out beautifully. You need to post a finished picture so that everyone can see how great it is.

Would love to know how you did the chenile circles. In the long ago, I made cathedral windows in the "old fashioned" folded square way, but surely that would be way too much bulk. Beautiful quilt.

Beautiful! You can tell everyone is looking forward to spring with all the vibrant colors showing up lately on the quilts! You did a great job. I am currently working on a quilt like the first one you posted using 30's retro. I like your twist on it with the chennile. Great job! I also love the purples in your table runner!!!!!

oh i found a tute online for one like your chenille but with denim. it's basically a quilt as you go kinda quilt. I have it on my list of things to try and I was thinking a nice cord or chenille would look nice! Thanks for confirming my thoughts! It's beautiful!
