Not for me. If I see FQ that I like or that are unique I will buy them and use them with some other solid colors for block quilts.

I avoid fat quarters! Whenever I find one I like and buy it, I regret it later and wish I had purchased a half yard. Most often I buy 2 or more yards at a time.

Fat quarters are the perfect size for the Go die cut machine.
wow.....I love this idea, thanks for the info. I'm going to check it out on Keepsake!

I love fat qtrs too. I have pattern books for them. I also have a sheet that tells me how much I can get out of a fat qtr. Love them.

I don't buy them either. Although I like the designs, I can't seem to find any way to use that small of a piece. I always buy no less than 3 yards of every piece I get. One reason for this is if I don't like it, I don't buy it to begin with. The other reason is by the time I figure out what I'm going to do with it, 9 times out of 10 I need much more then those small pieces.
Nope, no FQ for me!

No, you are not the only one! I'm so glad you asked that question. Why I think I need metres and metres of fabric for every quilt is beyond me, but I always have to have some extra "just in case."

I am always worried I won't have enough fabric to, so I over buy all the time. :)

:D I wish at times that I had a fear of buying FQ's. :D I started buying & collecting them in '97 & cont. to buy them. I see a FQ I like, I buy it. I figure they make great scrap quilts! I also love to buy yardage. I need a fear of buying fabric period. :-D :-D

I Am a FQ Queen, I love them, but if I really like it I just buy a couple. But I make a quilt called a crumb quilt. You need 15 to 17 for a noce lap quilt and more for bigger quilts.... and there are somany FQ patterns out there...
Step out and get ya some....
