My granddaughter celebrated her Sweet 16th birthday yesterday. I have been wanting to show the quilt and purse I made her, but had to wait until her party to take pics because I accidentally removed them from my camera after I had wrapped them. :)
The first shows the quilt, second shows the purse I made using scraps from the quilt. I recently got a Brother Embroidery machine and had fun putting the details on the purse.
I am happy to say they were both BIG HITS! She LOVES purple!

WOW, love the quilt, but that purse is awesome! I love how you did 3 lines of decorative stitching on the outside. You did a great job of doing them around the curves. This purse gets a great big  from me! :D Oh yeah and you did a really nice job matching all the points and colors on the quilt as well, another

Both are very nice. I love the stitching on the purse also. I am still getting used to my embroidery machine. I know if I tried those curves they would be running into each other. You do an awesome job!

If you draw lines with the purple disappearing ink pen, you might do just fine. This is definitely something that needs to be practiced before doing on the "real thing"!
