A friend of mine is an avid cyclist... she said to me today that it would be so cool for a bicycle quilt block.

Has anyone seen any?? I'd love to make her day!

Does it matter if they are pieced, PP or applique?

I have many machine embroidery patterns for bikes. I don't know about bike helmets. If you are interested, I can embroider them and send them to you.

doglover you are so sweet to offer!!

I had not even thought of just embroidering her some fabric up! I have an embroidery machine too and just had not even thought that. I was hoping to find some blocks either pieced or paper pieced. I'll have to draw it out on paper and see if I can drunkard's path some wheels and whatnot... It might work with some fancy planning...

I'm not too keen on applique. I know lots of people just love it, but I haven't been bitten by that bug yet... I guess yet is the operative word, right? lol.

hahaha - I just went to that site with the applique out of curiosity - and I am just laughing at that feathered helmet. That is just too funny!!

Hi, I found Bicycle fabric at Etsy and EBay. Just type in the search BICYCLE FABRICS. Also Bearpawquilting.com sells it.

Thanks everyone - I'll keep looking for a pieced block. It will turn up one of these days.
