This is my first attempt at FMQ. This is a table runner to be used on one of my bookcases where no one but me knows what the quilting looks like because there will be stuff put on top of it. Something good to practice on other than potholders. In the center square I tried to combine stitching a pattern as well as the meandering. I had trouble doing the design so did the rest of the squares in meandering. I also noticed when I got all through the meandering in the last square I did was further apart than in the first squares I did. Oh well..........hopefully the next project will be better. I don't know whether I like doing this better or SID

You did a good job for your first time. It really does get easier the more you do. My first time was terrible, very herky jerky. It's much better now and I enjoy it more. Hang in there and don't give up.

Thanks for all the encouragement. I don't seem to have as much trouble with the meandering (although I know I need more practice) but trying to stitch a design, even a simple one, I find difficult. That is what is herky jerky for me.
