Just finished this Black & White Log cabin, laying it out wiht the star design in the middle.It is amasing how many ways the blocks can be laid out .

This is SO cool! I want to try a Courthouse Steps one just to see what the pattern will do. I think the Log Cabin and its variants are among the best quilt patterns because theay are so versatile and the design can really change depending on your fabric choices. It is a really gorgeous piece!

there are maybe 200 layouts for a log cabin block. There's a curved log cabin in my future.
