My three and a half year old grandson loves to spend time in my sewing room. He likes to cut fabric and would even like it more to have the sewing machine. I am too scared to let him and came up with handsewing for him.
He is such a joy

He's a cutie-pie and looks like he's having a good time.

My DGS is also wanting to get involved. I've been a little hesitant to let him, but seeing all these pictures of other's little darlings with fabric and needle in hand is encouraging me to go on and let him 'help' on his own project.

YOU"RE so cool to let him help.

Did you draw lines for him to follow or is he just practicing going up and down?

Maybe he can 'stitch' a house or car or a simple design!

When my son was 4 he decided he needed to make a quilt for his build a bear!! I was petrified!!! To say the least. He sat on my lap and I helped him guide the fabric making sure no little fingers got in the way. He was sooo proud, we still have it with his bear in the attic.

Maybe for Christmas you could get him a childs sewing machine. Wouldn't he love that, his own!!

By the way, your dgs is a cutie!!
