hi, just sharing a couple of the quilts i made this past month. the circles are for my unconventional sister in law who is ill and the second is for a new baby. i did bind with minke on the baby quilt. won't do that again but it did complete the quilt nicely.

They are both really pretty!

When I back a quilt with Minkee, I make the back larger and pull around to the front and hem it. The Minkee is a lot stronger than cotton binding and wears very well.

Jemma - minkee is very soft, like velvet, but much more durable.

They are both beautiful! I love the one with circles. Minke is very soft, like fleece, but softer, very silky.

Like both of them very much. I hear you on the minke -- love how soft it is, but hate working with it. The circles are charming.

I love the quilt with circles. I've just bought an Accuquilt and have ordered the circles die. Although the star pattern is not one of my most favorites I love the colors you've used.
I can imagine minkee would be quite hard to use as binding.

i used an olfa circle cutter and cut out random sized circles. these are raw edge applique with steam a seam 2. i did use a blanket stitch to finish off the edges. i washed the quilt and am very happy that the stiffness from the bonding agent disappeared.
