today i received a copy of a magazine that i cancelled a year ago. it was all wrapped up in verywringled plastic. i sat down to read it from cover to cover and began to notice that all the quilt patterns seemed old fashioned. i saw a date of 2006 and upon further examination all the ads were for 2006. i called the subscription office and they couldn't give me any answer except to tell me that my subscription had been cancelled a couple of years ago. i knew that snail mail is slow but that is strange ...and the world is getting stranger all the time. what strange thing has happened to you lately?

My client mailed me a check, they are 4 blocks away. Took 2 weeks to arrive. Postmarked the day they said they mailed it. I told you Washington, DC was all screwed up.

It has not happened to me, but, to someone else I know. They had written a check to someone and the person denied receiving it. Went to court, court says to pay. The friend of mine cancelled the original check as it had not shown back up as being paid.
6 months later, the check came back to my friend, stamped, return to sender, needs additional postage

That is strange. If only the magazine could talk and tell you it's story.
