I've tried to use pieced backs, but I always run into trouble. During quilting, the front & back shift, and I have to trim away at the edges afterward. Of course, by then I've lost the pattern on the pieced back, and it looks all wonky. :(

GRMA 33 - That is cool! But try as I might - I can't find the pattern in any of the Quick Quilt 2010 magz. Could you post the dimensions of squares and strips please? I can figure out how to put it together. I think all here would appreciate it.. Thanks for posting your "BEAUTY"!

I love pieced backs. I have done Christmas quilts and included door panels into the back. But I did find some long arm quilts have trouble with the seams going vertically

Love it - love it - love it.

Functional, practical, frugil, and looks fantastic. It doesn't get any better than that.

Wouldn't this be a great pattern to use wit family pictures in the center squares? Would really be neat for a family reunion quilt.
