This is the quilt that brought me to this board (seeking help) and I have just finished it! Finally!

This is a quilt made from baby clothes. 95% knits!! All salvaged from play clothes of a my best friend's dear little daughter. And these were clothes that were deemed unfit to hand-down. I cut out the useful stuff from the stained. I wouldn't touch "nice" clothing. I had lots of cute colors and patterns to choose from!

I started collecting the clothes about 2 years ago, cut out pieces for the squares last summer (no regard for seams or anything really). Got serious about putting it together this summer. I had no intention to ever do another quilt, just finish this one. Now I am hooked!!! Can't wait for the next one! I can tell you it won't involve knits or interfacing! Straight 100% cotton sounds divine.

Anyway. I am just beside myself! Here it is. Thanks so much to all who gave advice through the process!

Outside in the bright sun. Colors a little brighter in person.

Super great job. Using cottons will seem so easy to you now.

Oh my goodness, it's so adorable! :) I really admire you for working with all those knits! I made a little quilt for my cat out of some old knits and it about drove me insane. This is a real treasure. Can't wait to see what you do next. :)
