A friend of mine mentioned that she had a skirt (one of those stretchy knit wrap-around skirts) that had belonged to her deceased grandmother, and wondered if there was anything that could be made out of it. I told her I could make a wall hanging and would trade her for some lamb and beef for my freezer. I sent her some pattern suggestions and she chose the Dresden Plate. It actually ended up as a twin-size quilt, and she was brought to tears when I delivered it to her on Saturday. The "funky print" is the skirt fabric, and the rest I pulled from my stash to coordinate with it.
