Hi all. I've been quilting only for 2 years. I feel so domestic. I always wanted to learn to quilt. Finally I got a sewing machine (as I said 2 yrs ago). A friend took me under her wing and helped me make my first wall hanging. It may not be perfect, but I do have it hanging up by my desk at work. I look at the pictures everyone posts and I think, if only I could do that. I am still very much a novice, but I keep buying material and collecting patterns, and I do make something every now and then. Mostly I have done wall hangings, but did do a small quilt, probably big enough for a childs bed, or maybe a single bed. ( for a someday grand child?)

I've been married for 32 years, have 2 sons, 25 & 29. My oldest son is getting married next year to a great girl, and my younger son has been living and working in Florida for the last 2 years but is moving home soon. They keep coming back don't they. 2 dogs (springer/brittany mixes) and 1 cat. I hope that over the next few years I can get better at making quilts and if I ever get to retire, maybe I will have more time and can get serious.

So I will keep watching for everyone's beautiful quilt pictures, and maybe one day I will post one of mine. :P

I have checked out Karla's site. She looks to have a beautiful farm and I love all of her quilts. She actually lives maybe 4? hrs. from where we live. We just may show up on her door step some time.

Tari

I wished I lived that close to her. I'd be there EVERYDAY just lovin' on Rosie! I have this HUGE pond I need to get across, then 3/4 of the US to travel across too. I don't think pontoons on my van would do the job for sailing. But hopefully in a year and 1/2, I"ll be back in the US and then WATCH OUT EVERYONE!! lol I know the time will go by quickly. I've been here for 7 months already and it seems like yesterday was when I got here.
