How many of you have tried the new ruler?
It is different from all the others because of the diamond powder edge which they claim "....maintains your blade sharper for longer."

In theory every time you run your rotary blade against the edge the diamond powder acts as a whet stone (I use one for my kitchen knives).

You have to make sure that the cutting edge side is attatched properly if not you will ruin your blades. I am not a fan.

I'm sorry to ask this, but what do you mean by "...cutting edge side is attached properly..."

Is there something that needs to be attached to the ruler?

I have read some bad reviews about them.

The edge that is suppose to sharpen is not manufactured correctly put on at an angle not straight up and down which causes the blades to dull.

Thank you for the information.
I might have to do more research and give my local fabric shop a heads up. I had seen them on display and in speaking with a lady doing the ordering she said she couldn't keep them in stock. She hadn't used them herself, but said she was having trouble keeping certain sizes in stock.
