1) First draw a + on the BACK of your fabric where you want your design to be.

2) Do the same thing on your stabilizer.

3) Match up your lines on your fabric (back side against the stabilizer).

4) Then lay your plastic thingy that came with your machine in your inner hoop and then on top of your markings.

5) Next carefully pick up the 2 layers and inner hoop and place in your outer hoop and tighten screw.

Ya'll are welcome. Sharon I use a water erasable marking pen. I use the aqua one. They have them at walmart or fabric stores.

One thing that I do besides the marking in the center is to cut the fabric larger than what is going to be needed. That way if the design is off a bit I have wiggle room to size up the material after the stitching is finished and still come out with it in the center.

That's how I do it, and it works great. I also use blue painters tape and tape my plastic grid to my fabric. That way nothing moves, and you just sort of snap your grid in the hoop and all is well. Remove the tape prior to embroidering.
