I will be moving to the SW Atlanta area in the next few months. If anyone has any ideas on the Fayetteville, Peachtree City, Newnan, or Douglasville areas, I would be interested in hearing about those areas and likes and dislikes. We have no ideas on where to live. Also where are the quilt shops...LOL I also do counted cross stitch so if there are any of those shops, I would like to know about them too.
I love reading this board and getting lots of tips, so I am hoping someone can help with the house hunt.

    thanks
    jan

It depends on where you are going to work at. Fayetteville, very nice area. Peachtree City has rules that you have to abide by also very nice, Newnan has a lot of antebellum homes. I do not know much about the city itself. Douglasville areas I do not know anything about it also. :-( Make a list of what is important to you like schools, Hospital, what you are looking for in a home. Check the neighborhood you can do this by asking the police dept. If you find a house you love come back when people are getting home from work and ask them what they like or love about living there. Take you time

Thanks. My DH will be working in the SW corner just outside the loop. We aren't to concerned about schools, as all our kids are in college. But we want a nice neighborhood. I hadn't thought about contacting the police. I will look into that.
