A friend of mine is having a tough time lately and since she loved the poppy fabric so much I made her this out of those orphan blocks, another yard of the original fabric and some solid black. I am pretty pleased with it, I must say. I quilted it freehand on my Janome 6600. I like the look of the feathers on the black especially! I left the panels of original fabric unquilted - it should be fine, it was Quilters Dream wadding which holds up pretty well. :-D
