I finished this quilt for a customer last night. It contains 12 blocks that were cross-stitched by her mother many years ago (her mother is now deceased). The blocks are 17" square, and I added sashings and borders to make it a queen size at 78" x 100". She's seen progress photos of it as I've been working on it, and she's been absolutely giddy; she's really happy to have these blocks come to completion in a quilt. Her son is my boss, so I'm going to deliver it to him tomorrow for her. It makes me happy to take vintage heirloom things like this and finish them off as they were meant to be. :)

Pic showing the detail of the blocks when I had it on the longarm.

You are right. It is so nice that you could finish what was begun long ago. It is beautiful.

Breath-taking! You are incredibly gifted! I would have been so intimidated out of fear that I could't have done those beautiful block justice. The quilt owner will be delighted!!
