I also am a genealogist, could you tell me how you started your quilt, how did you put your pictures on the quilt, maybe like an applique? I'd like to try it as well.

Great Job. I do quilting and genealogy too.
Maybe all quilters are genealogists or vise versa.

I have all my pictures scanned into my computer. I bought special fabric (it comes in a package of 8 by 10" pieces with a paper backing on it) at JoAnns. I printed out the pictures I wanted on the ink jet printer and then used in my quilt. Very easy to do. I also made all my pictures sepia to make them the shade I wanted

My husband does geneology, this is a wonderful idea for me to do something for him for Christmas, Thanks for the idea!!! Yous is beautiful
