I am very happy all by myself this evening. DH and DD are away for the night. So I don't have to make supper or wash dishes. I can use the dining table for cutting. I can put on Pride and Prejudice for company. I can lay out my blocks on the bed. I can sew until late. Off to the ironing board now, see you much later!

It's so nice to have a night off and the house all to yourself. When my DH and DS were active in scouting I would get one weekend a month all to myself.

Yippee! Sounds like the perfect evening. I have taken over our table as of late. My cutting mat and bins are now a decorative Center piece!

I feel the same when DH is gone fishing, hunting or whatever. He is gone this weekend, but after cleaning, I feel lousy and headache keeps me away from machine. I tried just now and after putting on design board, realized I sewed the wrong angles together..15 of them. Ripping is going to have to wait until later.

Oh you will enjoy it! When my hubby and his two buddies go deer hunting in upstate NY for 3 to 4 days I really enjoy "my time". The other two wives think I'm crazy; while they are pouting about being alone, I'm helping my hubby pack up his gear LOL :-D
