I live in a very nice Senior Apartments building with very nice ladies (and gentelmen also). We have former a Sew & Sew Club. Some crochet, some knit, I make Charity quilt tops, sandwich them and have tied with embroidery floss at the once a week Club sessions.
My storage area is limited to 3 storage closets and one large clothes closet. I work in different areas of the 4 room apartment. We also have a display table at our local bank with craft items for sale, including quilted table runners and lap quilts.
It is pretty obvious now, that I have told you what I do, that I could get very disorganized. Yes, today looking for a $19.95 package of embroidery floss. Because each closet contained a little bit of this and a little bit of that, I couldn't find it.
Pulled most every thing out of the 3 storage closets, found the floss and decided there has to be a better way. So took my wheeled suitcase, put 2 lap quilts ready to tie, the floss, a box of scissors, needles, pins, glue and a bags of scrap yarn with some crochet hooks.
Now I can leisurely stroll down the hall to the 'Community Room for our Sew & Sew session without having to go back and forth because it's alool there.
Oh, by the way, there are some who don't see good enough to do crafts, so they are in charge of the social end. Some mighty good stories, jokes and goodies come from those ladies.
Thanks God for friends, we all need them.
