Would anyone out there know of a good place to buy quilt racks? I have several wall quilt holders and do have one wrought iron stand but would like some wooden, floor racks.

I see them at the thrift shops all the time. They generally sell for 25 bucks.

I have bought them at Beverly Fabrics. I am sure you should be able to find some places on-line that also sell them. Good Luck in your search.

I found that the last couple of years they have been harder to find, used to find them everywhere you look. I went to a nearby Amish town and bought one last year. I think I need a smaller one too!So I will just go back to that area. I really like them, you can do so much with them and change yr quilts out with the seasons!

I just saw one in a quilt shop last week, maybe you could ask them in your area. Maybe a wood worker might have them. I buy mine at auctions, the last one I got for $5, but it wasn't old but it is covered with quilts so no one really knows.

I check out yard sales, auctions, flea markets, antique stores, you name it. You never can tell where one might pop up. But, if you can't wait, I'd find a local crafter and see if they could make you one.

JCPenneys sells them, they're nice too. My daughter bought me one from Bombay when I started quilting, but now we no longer have a Bombay here.

Thank you for all the suggestions. Last year I did check out some garage sales and estate sales . My DH was wonderful with making things for me, such as the wall quilt hangers but he is gone now to a better place so I have to buy what I need. I did see a quilt rack at one of the LQS but was very pricey. I will be checking at Pennys to see if they have them here. I like the idea of changing the quilts for the seasons, on the quilt racks.
