Is there a method for creating a totally washable label that can be washed in warm water with detergent and dried on low in the dryer? I cannot imagine that baby quilts are not going to need that.

use permanent pens or embroider them. Use the preprinted labels and permanent pens.

There are people here that will embroider them for you for a reasonable fee.

Thank you Wolfkitty but I really want to make my own. I already have some designed but all the printable fabric is either dry clean only or wash in cold water with no detergent.
BTW I know Elmira, NY. Years ago (in the 70's) my ex husbands Mother and Step-Dad had a farm in Elmira and we use to go there often (We lived in Vestal and Chenango Bridge). Beautiful area. We were there in '72 when everything was flooded.
