Where and what for UFO's
#1
I am cleaning my sewing room, sa much as I can with all the stuff that's in it. I have several UFO's that are in piles...I did use shoe boxes but it's to hard to find them and know whats in them. I have no more shelf space so what do you do   :D :D

i use foam board. i have three large projects in progress and i just keep them laid out on a piece of foam board. then i stack the foam board. i'm thinking of putting up some shelving brackets to put them on to get them off of the table.

I guess my answer would depend on how attached you are to these UFO's.... If not too attached, find a quick-finish method and send to local shelters, clothing banks, etc.
If you're attached, finish and share with people you love who would appreciate them.
As far as storage of UFO's... I guess I'm fortunate, there really aren't any UFO's that hang around here. There's the random pieces where I tried something new, but I even try to finish them, even if it's a pillow for the kids. Unless it's really awful, then the trash can is a good place.

I have been finishing some of my UFO's,making them into table runners and plan to give them for Christmas. That way I can practice my hand quilting. I can finsh them if they are not too big. I had a double wedding ring with howls in the middle of the block. I finshed for a frind who was making me a mule plack. She has some kind of saw and makes things with wood. I have it all done except the binding.

i bought some plastic shoe boxes, I have 4 UFO's in these...I have a cirlce jean quilt tha t is in a box; its to big for the regular ones...I bought another plastic thingy with 3 draws. for small pieces of fabric. I bought a big box of gallon plastic bags for all the squares ect that are cut up.......i have some scrap wood and am making a mini ladder for strips. This gets most of them out where I can see whats there. I also have several completed quilt tops I will finish when I can get a lot more batting. Maybe I will get finished cleaning tomorrow :D

Ruth, you know those pastic bins that are flat and they roll under the bed? I think they call them sweaters storage bins, those will be perfect because you can stack them one on top of the other and they are not as bulky as the storage bins.

LOL Don't go looking at one of my posts where I put a picture of some of my UFO's.
