Default table set all done - hope Mom likes it!

I'm not really running till the last minute. The runner's been done for a month or so. The placemats for a couple of weeks. The napkins were boring to make so I just did them when I needed a quick break from other projects. The napkins are reversible - I had enough scraps to do 2 of each kind, but put the dark green on the back of all of them. My mother uses cloth napkins so I hope they hold up well. I sewed an "X" to hold the fabrics together.

(THe napkins are folded in 4ths - they are 18" squares before sewing.

Those colors are HER! She even has rosebud wallpaper in her kitchen. Tulips everywhere. These colors are in her couch, towels, sheets - everywhere! I can't wait to see her open this on Monday. (Yes, Christmas is on Monday this year - you didn't get the memo?) For some reason she is ... so touched by my quilting... I'm fairly new at it, but it was something her mother did. So this connection between my grandmother and I is a thrill for her. (me, too!)

She will be so thrilled to have these to serve on. My mom would have loved these too. It was her colors as well.
