Default need advice

I am machine quilting a small quilt, that's the good news. I used a top quality spray adhesive from my quilt shop, and my needle keeps getting clogged up. I've used this adhesive before with no problems. I'm wondering can the stuff get old? Am I going to have to stop every so often and clean it off or can you give me some suggestion? Thank you all for listening.

Have you tried wiping the needle with a fabric softener sheet? They're coated with silicone and should make the needle slide through the adhesive better.

I think you can clean off the needle with rubbing alcohol regularly.

How old is the spray? Definitely the chemical composition can change over time.

Wow. I have had that problem often, and love the hints about the fabric softner sheets and the rubbing alcohol. I will be trying both of those the next time I do a quilt or an applique where I have used the spray. It is so awesome the things I learn on this board. Thanks!!!
