Default Had to share

About a week ago, this package comes via mail for my husband. I picked it up at the post office and thought "if I didn't know better, it feels like fabric". He spends a lot of time on Ebay. He opens it and he HAS bought fabric (RealTree camouflage print. Now the funny part is, he has no particular idea of what he wants to do with it, but he liked it and said got it at a good price. Hmmmm, doesn't it almost sound like he's started his own stash? My BFF and I have had more good-natured chuckles over this and thought I needed to share it with you folks. If anything does come of this, you can be sure I'll post a picture.

That is too funny! What is with men and their need to be something they are not. Here are 2 incidences that I have experienced with my hubby. 1. I am about to have knee replacement surgery in a week or so. Recently...maybe 4 weeks ago he comes in the living room and tells me he thinks he need to have his knee replaced too. I wanted to laugh, but didn't calmly asked how he knows it needs done. He replies It hurts a lot. OK...I say, what are you taking for the pain? He says...nothing. I ask...shouldn't you see a doctor about that pain and let them check it out with a n x-ray? He quietly got up and left the room. 2. I am trying to loose weight before my surgery. We were at a restaurant and I asked the waitress to put half of my salad in a box when she brings it to the table so I don't eat it. She willingly cooperated. Next week we returned to the same restaurant and he orders a salad and asks that 1/2 be put in a box...(different waitress) says sorry I can't do that, but I can bring you a box to put your salad in it. She brings salad, but forgets the box....he is fuming that this didn't go well. I said to just ask for the box from someone else....anyway you get the idea.

I feel like we are in competition for attention. I have been trying to pay more attention to him, but I think he wants it from other people. Stressful.

Too cute! Now you could tell him he needs a sewing machine to go with that fabric and yours is busy so he will have to go shopping with you. You could give him a few suggestions on what to purchase. I think sewing along side your DH would be fantastic!
I will never have a converted husband who shops for fabric online. He refuses to learn how to turn on a computer.

My husband was an "escorter" and an enabler...I can never walk into a fabric shop without literally envisioning him relaxing in an easy chair while I shopped....thank goodness he didn't want to compete 'cause he would NEVER have won...but he sure loved to go with me!

He was raised by his widowed mother and she supposedly taught all five kids the basics, sewing, knitting, crocheting. Several years ago, he pulled out an old heavy-duty Singer machine down in his work room and proceeded to design and sew himself an ice fishing tent. One time he made himself a game carry bag. He's a very clever guy. My guess he'll come up with something for fishing or hunting with the fabric. As it is, my so-called sewing room is shared with him. One side is mine and the other side is his gun cabinet and fly tying bench.

Sounds like your husband is a very resourceful guy. Let us know what he does with the fabric.
