Default Improv blocks

One of the quilting blogs I read - I forget which! - had a post about making an improv block every morning. I don't have the discipline to do that every day but I loved the idea so I started playing around when I have some free time. I've made three so far. I think I'll keep going and maybe put them together into a quilt at some point. I like just randomly going through scraps and finding little fortuitous designs. I think it will be good for my confidence, since I'm still just a beginner. I think the blocks are kind of cute! Hope you like them too.

I still love doing these blocks. It's very stress releaving for me. I have made my dogs' blankets, adult bibs, mug rugs, and lap quilts out of them. They are "free" items. Enjoy

You're right, it's very relaxing. No pressure to get it "right."

Great idea, I have a basket of scraps sitting on the floor right next to my sewing machine. I'm going to challenge myself to 3 blocks a week. Your blocks are super cute, thanks for the inspiration!

They are cute. I would like to see when you make a finished project with them.
