Default Curve Master Foot ?

Anybody ever use the Curve Master foot? Had any luck with it? I'm considering getting one for my Bernina 830
to use in curved seams.

Thanks,
Cathy S/ Willowwind

I just did a search using the search feature obove on the right top of the page, and while you are waiting for today's responses, you might want to look at some of those. too many for me to cut and paste here. Good luck!

Bought it in 1999, used it with my Viking, did not like it. I mention the year in case there has been updates to the design.

I got one a couple years ago. Use it on my Janome 1600, I like it. I had to practice for a bit before I used it on a project. The tweezers that come with it are my favorite tweezers, too.

I bought one a few years ago to do a drunkards path quilt. After several hours of frustration, it went into the "why the heck did I waste my time on this?" Box. I did much better with my quarter inch foot and and chopstick! Did 60 4 inch squares for my wall hanging. Not one pucker, just practiced.
BTW, everything I have ever purchased from the Martinelli company has been trash, just my honest opinion.

I purchased on a few years ago, because I wanted to make all those circle blocks. I have only made a couple of blocks and had no problem....really need to pull it out and us it.

I have a cyber friend that uses hers as her 1/4" foot all the time.

Make sure it will fit your machine before you buy. It didn't fit mine and luckily the shop allowed me to bring it back.

Do you have a 1/4 inch foot with a guide? It is pretty much the same thing. Watch a couple youtube videos to get a visual of how the foot works. You'll save enough money for at least 2 yards of fabric!
I made a bolster pillow last week that had a 5/8 inch seam allowance. I used a vintage seam guide on the bed of my machine; it worked the same way as a Curve Master foot.

If you go to this website www.backporchdesign.com there is a video showing how to sew curved seams. I use this method and have no problems. I make a lot of drunkard's path blocks.

I have the curve master, but prefer the 1/4" foot.
