Semi-long term UFO finally finished today!
I've had this as a quilt top for about three years. I could never figure out how to quilt embroidered blocks. But I saw a picture somewhere on the interwebs this past week and suddenly it clicked. It's not the most perfect quilting, but it's done. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it; it was an impulse project. But now I can say that I did it.

I tried Sharon Schamber's glue basting method for the binding. I learned about it here and couldn't wait to try it. And that says a lot because anyone who knows me will tell you that I'd rather staple my quilts than bind them (not that I've EVER done that ) I LOVE this method. My binding has always looked pretty messy, but this was almost magical. It took forever and a day to do, but I think it was worth it.
