Default Should I re-size this block?

I am working on a hawaiian quilt - making up the pattern myself. I have finished one block. I don't know if I should make the blocks smaller! I don't want to take away from the design of each block - each block will have different pattern and different fabric with the same background for all blocks. I think sashing around each block would make the designs standout. The attached block is 20". I was thinking maybe a 13" block and reducing the design to 67%. Any thoughts on this is appreciated!! I hope this picture doesn't come out huge
Thanks

Beautiful!! I can't help you any though. I know next to nothing about Hawaiian quilts, but yours is sure off to a beautiful start!

Is this a breadfruit block? How pretty it is. I would not re-size it. Many of those type quilts are really huge. Kind of the style. Know what I mean? I have seen only one huge applique block that was a queen sized quilt.

Well for a queen or king-sized quilt, the 20" is a good size. I had never heard of a breadfruit block so I googled it and lots of images there. It seems as though most of the blocks were large. I like the large block for a quilt of size...even for a lap quilt...the size is part of its appeal i think.

It is a nice size and a smaller size would be more difficult if you are doing needle turn.

It's GORGEOUS!!! Leave it be. It looks just fine the way it is. The fabric you picked is great too. Cannot wait to see the whole thing.

Thank you everyone for your time and opinion. I will make them all this size!! The breadfruit pattern is my favorite block. Hoping all the blocks look as good as this one :-) Another snow day - guess I will have to sew.
