I CAN'T view any videos because I have an old computer but I know that she has done some hand piecing. One of her reps was a friend of mine and I have met her on several occasions over a decade ago. I believe I saw her demo on a show called Simply Quilts formerly seen on HGTV.

As far as I know, she ONLY does hand piecing. After I was lucky enough to go to one of her seminars back east, I found a video at the library and watched it over and over. She is also a beautiful knitter.

2 of the Quilt Show segments are really good for her technique. She was the "Quilt Show Legend of 2008" and has another segment that, I think, was the following year. Both of those are great shows to see her methods. I'm taking a class from her at her quilt store at the end of the month on Designing Tessalations. I'm lucky that I'm in her neck of the woods. She's really a wonderful teacher.

Jinny demonstrates her hand sewing technique in Show 601. On the right hand side of the first screen, under chapters, click on the 3rd one down - "Learn how to make a tessellation and hand piece with Jinny".

thank you everyone!
Her daughter attended Reed College in Portland Oregon
and there was a quilt shop that specialized in carrying every single bolt in her line.
So once a year Jinny would come out to see her daughter and would also put on a seminar for Scarborough Flair.
I could never get away for the classes but once I was allowed to go to an evening show and talk, it was really fun.
I'm always amazed that "they" look just like "us", just real folks.
mcdugan, I watched the free Eleanor Burns legend show this morning, what a great feature, and quilter
