I have inherited an old treadle singer sewing machine and would love to refurbish it. Can any of you tell me where I might be able to get parts and information on how to go about cleaning the machine and cabinet?. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Did you try talking to a sewing machine shop. I just had my machine gear replaced and had it oiled at one. Kyia

 Ok here's how & I have 4 Treadles, You clean and oil it like any machine if it's gunked up clean all that up first then to do the cabinet clean off with a wire brush then you stain it then varnish it some products are together I like the stain seperate , My Daddy did wood work as a Hobby and was gooood at it so he taught me well!!!! You can get parts at Sewing Emporium in California, I have the add have to look, Treadle Belts are sold in the catalog at Newart Dressmaker Supply, in Pa, Put them on a search they also have Home Sew Catalog which has all kinds of sewing stuff!!!! Try a Search for Treadle Sewing Machines. Best of Luck!!!
