Default Painted Carousel Horse Wall Hanging

First try at fabric painting and quilting finished.

The horse is from a colouring book, I painted it with Lumiere Metallic Fabric paint and it is all free motion quilted. The background it closely spaced vertical lines, also FMQ.

The paint is heat set with an iron on the fabric and it wasn't hard to quilt through. I used a size 18/10 needle and King Tut thread with DecoBob in the bobbin on my DSM with a floating FMQ foot.

I think I will be doing more of this now that I've got the hang of it. Could get addicting. Just need more colours. All the colours!

Watson

That is just beautiful and stunning. Had no idea you could do all that with fabric paints.

Marvelous! I have a lion quilt in the planning stage that I *was* going to applique, but paint would be so much easier! I keep looking at the Lumier paints and saying to myself "I don't really need those..." but maybe I do.
