Greetings: I'm a fairly new quilter, retired, and need to watch the pennies. Does anyone here sharpen or have sharpened their rotary cutter blades? Many thanks for your help.

I bought one recently. Not too sure of it yet, but maybe I need to work at my technique. I would love to not have to buy new blades constantly!

I've been wanting to buy one of the rotary sharpeners but want to make sure they work well first...hope somebody here answers your question...blades are getting WAY too spendy!!!

they don't restore a blade to just-like-brand-spaninkin'-new sharp, but they will give you more than one use out of each blade

Hi, I have never sharpened my blades but someone once said to put two blades (save the old one for later) when they get dull in you cutter and that will work for a while. I buy my blades at Walmart cause they are the cheapest or I use my 40% coupon at Joann's. Marge

I buy my Olfa 45mm from the Amish for $3.25 each at any time.

Remember, your old blades should never go into the land fill, so save them in a safe place, send them in for credit on new ones. Get them for $3 each if you are using 45 mm blades.

I recently got 10 blades (new Olfa in their original package) for $30. No added postage. This is the best buy I have found.
