border dilemma - updated
I posted yesterday asking for comments and suggestions because I was not happy with my border. I decided to replace the two-fabric spacer border with the purple paisley to surround the diamond rectangles. I'm still not happy with it - to me the light teal in the diamonds overwhelms the quilt, but I was not going to ditch 30 diamond rectangles!! So at least the top is done. Now how to quilt it! i think I need to practice my paisleys.

Indycat, I understand your concerns about the lightness of the light teal in the border, but your quilt is still absolutely beautiful. We all do things on our quilts that we wish we hadn't, but they are still works of art and love. I seem to notice that some of the cats have this lighter shade in them too. I'll have to look up your earlier post. I think you did a wonderful job.
I looked at your earlier post, and I think you made the best decision on your border. Very lovely.

I logged on to say that I saw your previous post and I did not like the outer border, at all, but thought you should keep the diamonds. I didn't know what you should do to fix it, just, from what you showed, didn't work.. But this.... this is perfect. And the outer border works!
