Question about cotton knit fabric
Hi everyone,
I got a yard of cotton knit (tee shirt type) fabric and thought I'd make some masks
with it.
I'm not familiar with using this fabric and I can't get it to stop raveling.
Any tips? Ironing doesn't seem to help for more than a few seconds.
Thanks in advance!
Susie

hmm... I did a google search and found this tutorial for a stretchy mask, but hers is doubled fabric and doesn't look like she is having any difficulty with the curling. If you just look at the blog or print from it, it is free, but if you want to download a PDF there is a charge. The blog is sewcanshe dot com .... I am not sure if I can put the link on here, hope you can find it.

I would use a fusible interfacing against this fabric to prevent raveling and to hold the fabric in place where you are stitching. I would treat it as I would if I were making a t shirt quilt that needs to be stabilized.

I don't make tee shirt quilts. You couldn't pay me to make one lol. That's why this fabric is a mystery to me. I don't want to use interfacing either but I'll try to figure it out!
