Default I Have a Bubble

I have a beautiful (atleast I think so) wallhanging of applique from "The Little Brown Bird" book. You all know the LBB designs and since I love applique, it is nicely done with lots if details. I wish I could post its picture. Anyhow, it has a bubble and I am unable to figure out what caused it or how to fix it. I have measured it side-to-side, end-to-end, end-to center. All seem to be okay. The machine quilting density is the same. So, why the bubble? Any suggestions?

I am thinking of laying it flat onto a towel, soaking with water and patting it flat with the hopes it will cause enough shrinking to flatten. What are your thoughts? Thanks.

Hmmm...where is the "bubble?" Can you quilt over it to make it lay flat?

If the majority of your FMQing is going along the bias of the fabric, it can stretch the surface.
