Embird Program does conversion on quilting formats too
Thought I read either here or on a yahoo group asking whether Embird would convert quilting formats correctly or not. Yesterday I decided to try it out. YEAH!!!!! It does which will be a time saver for me as I changed robotic systems a number of years ago and the format back then is not what I use now. The quilting layout program called ProQ Designer does not read or see IQP but will convert the pattern to a form of DXF-IQP for me. Problem was when I wanted to take one of the IQP patterns into the program,..............I couldn't and would have to take it to the robotic tablet. This of course meant I couldn't layout my patterns before I went to the machine like I used to.
I can now say yes, Embird does convert IQP patterns into a useable format ProQ Designer does read. This program is an old one but I know it so like to use it when I can. I can slice and dice my patterns with it, print out a layout to look at when I'm actually doing the quilting, etc.
So for those with this program, it does more than just embroidery designs.

That's good info to know. I have Embird, but haven't used it very much lately. I was getting good at splitting embroidery patterns and converting any embroidery pattern to one my machine would use. I think I'll bring up that program and play with it a little. It really does so much more than I ever learned, Maybe it will all come back to me again.
