Hi all:
I have been busy in my sewing room working on a very special quilt. My grandmother has been a big part of my life and now she is sick. She is 89 and had a hernia surgery 6 years ago. Found out recently the doctor that did the surgery did something wrong because now she has an infection and can't eat. She has been going to doctors for years and finally a new doctor was able to tell her what is wrong. The problem is she is so worn out and weak from not being able to eat that she has no desire to follow through with treatment for this. Anyhow, I wish I could be with her and care for her but I live in Ky and she is in PA. So, I thought I would make her a quilt to provide a small amount of comfort in addition to me calling as much as I can. sorry for the long winded explanation. I guess I needed to talk about it. I have not really talked about it just poured myself into making her quilt. So, here it is.... What do you think? I will be sending it to my dad who will visit her next week and bring it to her.

Grandma's comfort quilt

Stunning quilt. I am sure she will find comfort and love everytime she uses her special quilt. Such wonderful regal colors too - fit for a queen! Wonderful gift!
