so, the dragonfly quilt made for my daughter's wedding gift really started the whole (obsession :D ) i love making abc quilts, it does get hard to find fabrics for all of the letter's...1/2 the fun is the search.
finally made a house quilt;

stained glass is a VERY FORGIVING technique, you should try it, it is so easy and just great outcome. i make my own bias tape to use but you can purchase fusable bias tape to use making it even more simple to do.

All are nice, but that dragonfly quilt is beautiful!! What was the pattern for that?

the center dragonfly block was a pattern (i will have to look up at home) i took a class at the lqs for that one when my daughter found it in a magazine and wanted it sooo bad...after the class i put it aside and went about learing how to make a quilt so i could turn it into a king size quilt. when her fiancee received orders for his deployment the wedding date was moved up and i had to get busy and turn the block into a quilt...that is just what i came up with not really knowing what i was doing. the only problem with the quilt is i did not know how to get it to stop growing (it is 12 feet x 14 feet) but i finally did get it to stop. ;) finally years later i am much better at keeping them within reasonable size limits :)
