Help needed please!!!

I am currently involved in a Round Robin with my quilting group, we are making different strips using a different technique each month which are to be returned to us just before Christmas.
We shall then be given ideas of what to do with these strips then.

My current dilema for this month is to use the folded technique, I would appreciate it if any of you would be able to direct me towards an easy to follow block. This has to be between 3 - 5" wide, which in turn is made up into a 24" strip excluding seam allowances.
I've "googled" various, folded, Japanese etc but so far haven't been successful in finding what I need.
I wouldn't even mind if it mean't having to purchase a book.

Any help would be gratefully received.

It sounds interesting-have it in my "check it out" file, but haven't taken time to figure out how it is done yet. Although they give you the layouts, the actual instructions on how to construct the blocks are not there, you have to purchase the actual pattern instructions. Anybody done these??

That's lovely, what a clever girl you are.
Take a look at the links that Moonpi posted they're really informative. Going to make a practice block first. I'll let you know how I get on :roll:

The practice block was from a friends book, called quiltigami, or something like that, she had some fantastic BUT very difficult designs in it!!

I wish you luck, can't wait to see what you come up with :D

Thanks for the link, it may well be something I will put on the back burner for the time being. The designs look interesting, let me know when you put needle, thread & fabric together. :D

Just been online & seen that book, I'm going to order it, it may take a year or two to get round to making a block from it. :lol: In the meantime I have to find something simple - for me at least! This block needs to be passed on in 2wks! YEEKS!
