My 2 nieces 16 and 12 turned 13, helped me with a challenge quilt. We had so much fun- I have so much to finish. Has anyone entered a quilt challenge before? Do you have any advice? I wil post pictures after the entrance deadline is past. what a family affair.

We do have a quilting family, my mom has quilted, not lately due to health problems, my 3 sisters have all quilted, my 2 brothers helped with a quilt we made for my parent's 50th anniversary, my daugher quilts, my dil just started quilting, my 4 neices have been quilting(all from same family), and 2 nephews helped on the 50th anniversary quilt. My sons make fun of me when I say I stopped and looked at fabric, where else would you be mom? is all they can say. My German sister and her daughter also quilt.

We are dry, but towns south of us are still digging out of the muck, I can hardly believe 25 miles away people have lost their homes, businesses and possessions. My sister and family live 2 hours south of us and her family helped clean out a store near them. She said the young guys helping were just about crying because they had to dispose of cases and cases of beer because of the contamination. It's great to laugh during troubled times. How is your area?
