Quilters tell me if you have tried it and give me your comments. Curious to find out what you all think!!!!!

Info on bamboo batting: update 8/6
Its very soft, biodegradable, hypo allergenic, chemical free, blended with cotton.

The needle punch technology used to make the batting avoids the use of any binders or resins. Kyoto Bamboo Blend will not shift of shed through the cover of your quilt.

You an stitch up to 8" apart - will last for years of repeated use and washings. Wash your quilt after quilting and the batting will shrink about 3% for that wonderful old timey look.

I think Steve posted a while back that he'd seen it, but I don't remember if he tried it.

I just saw this advertised at Hancock in their flyer. I'll stick with the warm & natural.

BTW, it (W & N) is on SALE 50% off on July 26th!

I've tried it and at first thought it would be great - it's so soft - but having actually quilted with it, I've decided it's not my cuppa tea - don't like the way it beards so much and doesn't needle well and will be going back to Warm & Natural for the next quilt.

I got a twin size package at JoAnn a few weeks back that was on clearance for $3.97. I haven't had the chance to use it yet, but I figured for that price I'd give it a try.

    Hi,

I have used it on two handquilted projects. It is a little more expensive but the batts are unusually large so you get more for your money. I got mine at JoAnns with the half off sale. A queen batt was 100x116 inches. I have already made two wall quilts and expect to get at least three more Linus quilts out of one batt. I am a hand quilter for hire and so far I love working with it.
