Friends Dogwood quilt

I just finished this quilt for my friend to hang at her guild show this weekend. She had a little trouble getting it to me. I am almost done with her second one. She loves Dogwood and made this pattern up using her charm squares and some extra fabric too. I finished it with Dogwood quilt patterns I got from Digi Tech for my machine. Added lots of extras and some free motion around her applique. She just loves it and can hardly wait. Has a stain on it from the iron where she heard the news of the Virginia Tech shootings, (her children attended VT) so she has not tried to remove the spot so she will remember what she was doing at the time. Has taken her a while though to finish it up. Hope you enjoy her lap quilt.

That is so pretty - my sister was here last weekend - I have a layer cake with the Dogwood fabric - she picked it up and was in love - so now I know what fabric to use for her christmas present - your quilt has inspired some ideas. Beautiful..
