Here it is! Finally got the urge to piece the quilt, I have had the shoe panels for a couple months now. I LOVE IT! :) This will be a Christmas gift for my sis.. I would love to quilt it myself (ON MY NEW JUKI!!!!) But I am a little nervous and not too sure what to do with those big, open, white spaces. Ideas?

When I made a quilt with that style I did a simple cross hatch,,did not take away from the design.

So, did you just cross hatch, keeping the shoe portion of the block free from stitches?

I think pebbling would look nice. It would allow you to get close to the shoe but not quilt over it.
