Registered nurse in the operating room. Now retired after working 41 years in the OR. I loved what I did and felt very blessed.

RN for 36 years. Avatar pic is from 1973! Taught high school for 4 years after leaving nursing (9, 10, 11 &12 graders). But got too tired especially daily commute, 1 hr. 15 min. each way. The teens were great but I was tired coming out of nursing all those years and then tackling school teaching! What was I thinking? Retired in 07. Became a Master Gardener through Clemson and volunteer on Mondays at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens Greenhouse. Became VP of our local Magnolia Chapter of the Embroidery Guild of America. Joined the Islanders Quilting Guild about 3 months ago and am learning lots of new things about quilting, which I love. And am in a sewing group. I'm working on cutting back on my schedule as now I on the road all the time again. It's beginning to feel like work instead of retirement!! Love to read about everyone's occupations....
