    I FMQ with a Singer 15-88 treadle that I can drop the feed dogs on! When I use my 66 or 127 or Wheeler/Wilson I do stitch in the ditch and straight line stuff!

    Fabric Whisperer, Your cabinet is gorgeous and I love the ornate face plate on your machine. I wouldn't even try to FMQ on this machine. I would just use it for piecing. Please post pics after you have cleaned up this pretty lady.

    I would be picking up that machine after work tomorrow, cleaning it in the evening (at my kitchen table if it is too cold outside in the garage) and this weekend just to get it cleaned up to use.     I agree with Vintagemotif, she told me about my new featherweight and Davis and I had them both within a day! I'd already have that Davis at home! And, he is already is the ball park on price, I wouldn't haggle too much!

    I e-mailed him to set up a time on Saturday to pick it up! Also, discussed this with DH and while not thrilled, didn't argue other than to say "can you haggle the price with him?" I told him I already had! LOL!!

    I will, I am thinking of just doing a dustbunny cleanup and adding a new belt ~ get her running, do a quick lapquilt with DD (she is already raiding the stash, she's so excited)... then when the weather warms in spring, we can move it to the porch for complete teardown... that way we may get her up and running for a little while :) worth a try!

    I found a Domestic electric portable with nice case and pristine pansy decals. The decals are in more than excellent shape. The only number I could find on the machine was 2X5748 and a patent date of 1920 on the shuttle plate. They wanted $30 for it but I did not try out the motor. I figured it could always be converted to a hand crank or treadle. What do you think, is it worth the $30? It sure was pretty, had a manual, shuttle, bobbins and extra feet. I'd also like to know a little more about the machine but could not find anything on the web.

    Billy, did you see the post on my 306k? I don't know what he did but I don't have to use special needles anymore. That's a good thing, huh?

    You sure he didnt alter anything? I think that its wonderful that you can use the 15x1 needles with the machine. Usually you have to whittle a little on the bobbin case and then your good. But what ever he did I am tickled pink that you dont have to buy the high dollar needles anymore.

    All he did was time the machine after my DH messed it up and adjusted the feed dogs. He didn't dink with the bobbin case at all. I should have asked him more questions but they were so busy. He did mention the only difference in needles was the length from the eye but he lost me on that one.
