    Here's the second of seven quilt tops that I'm currently quilting for a customer. It is of course the simple nine-patch, but I think the piecer did an excellent job in color selection for this one. The top was pieced decades ago by the customer's grandmother and it measures 58" x 72". Sometimes simple patterns make the most striking quilts.

    The one I am working on is same kind of pattern. Mine will have a couple fabrics as the border. all blue tho.

    It's a gorgeous quilt! Must be pretty scary to do quilting on somebodys treasured family quilt! Clearly she trusts your not inconsiderable talents!

    thanks for sharing - you gave me an idea. I have some 9 patch blocks somewhere ~ seeing the wide sashing & corner blocks on this quilt makes me want to dig for them & finish this UFO

    I never would have put those colors together, but the more I look at it, the more I love it!! Really interesting.
